The Story We Tell Ourselves

The Story We Tell Ourselves investigates the the internal patterns we adopt and allow to give structure to our lives. The use of a second, floating warp interrupts the pure white of the ground cloth, repeating itself time and time again until a pattern emerges. Through affixing material such as bamboo or raffia to the woven ground, the black fibers contain and inform the structure of the material it holds in place.
