Really started to hit a stride around day 9 of my desert series, which was right at the halfway point of my residency. I introduced some new materials, like this sisal, and the pieces started getting larger and more textural.

Reminder that my latest series, a collection of 18 weavings from my Joshua Tree residency, are available this week - Wednesday and Thursday at noon EST !

There’s something melodic about this piece. Between the looped weft tops and layered bottoms, it seems to want to move and dance. Feels kinda joyful, I like that.
