This series of three paintings investigates natural color and its properties. The color was extracted from red cabbage leaves through a liquid dye bath, turned into a dry pigment, ground, and bound to linseed oil, making an oil paint.
This piece can stand alone, but would also pair excellently with any or all of its companions, Meditation on Natural Color 01 and 02.
